I really loved this place!! It's the warmth of a city and it's patrons. The beaches were great! There were so many different things to do and see. I enjoyed exploring the town and all it has to offer.
What a beautiful spot. Good ambiance, crowd and stores as well as restaurants. The beach is immediately near the town's park. Open for dogs prior to 8am and after 4pm. Clean, inviting, and thin sand. Not rocky on the shores.
This beach greets you right off of the ferry. Nice calm waves with a view of the Gingerbread houses behind you. One of my faves on the Island. No lifeguards, a little rocky when you first enter but calming experience overall.
Best beach on Martha's Vineyard hands down! You get to see all the peeps young and old. Not a great swimming beach, unless you like water very cold. Always a great crowd, always see somebody you haven't seen in years, again great beach one of the best on Martha's Vineyard if not the best. Been in many movies and many people go there every single day to just share the love of Martha's Vineyard.
This beach is a quick walk (less than 5 minutes) from the Oak Bluffs ferry terminal. It is clear that sand was added to the beach, which is nice and was appreciated because the native sand is more pebbly and had lots of shell chips. The water was really clear and beautiful and some kids were looking around in the rocks of an adjacent jetty and others were showing off a crab they found. This beach was much busier than some of the surrounding beaches.
