So sad that one of my favorite places no longer exists!! Have always looked forward to going to Jimmy Seas when on the Vinyard. Was told an hour wait, went back in an hour and was told another hour. Owner was very rude! Our party of 5 was finally seated and served a tasteless, warm (not hot) meal. The food looked as it always has but the quality and taste has disappeared.
Okay, so they lied about reservations and we waited. Not so bad, at least we'll have a great meal. WRONG. I ordered the broccoli and chicken and my food came out 45 minutes later and was dry. It had very obviously been sitting under a heat lamp for that length of time.
We had heard so much about this place by other people that have been here over the years. I felt the food was okay, wasn't as great as everyone said. Nice portions served in frying pans. The staff was very good and attentive for the most part.
Do not go here. It is a waste of money and you would be better off anywhere else.
For a table of 11, all of us ordered different meals- ravioli, pasta with alfredo sauce, mussels and shrimp, chicken and broccoli and linguini with shrimp and pesto- only the pesto people were happy. Everyone else had dry pasta that tasted rubbery.
Worst place to spend your first night of vacation.
You won't leave hungry. Food was awesome, staff was really pleasant as well. Manager/owner? came to our table and chatted with my group and I for awhile. Had leftovers for the next day.
It also took 30 minutes for the wait staff to refill water glasses.
The staff was not even apologetic about the situation. They said they were sorry and tried to make jokes, but they were insincere.
It took so long to get seated that I had to nurse my daughter on the side of the road since we were up to her next feeding.
Food was delicious. Hostess was extremely rude- as we were leaving first the waiter pushed us out as he was in a hurry to clean the table. We then had to stop at the entrance to put on a jacket on a four year old and the hostess comes up to us and says we had to move out as it was a fire exit!! We then pointed out to her that in that case the waiters need to be trained not to rush out patrons who still need to put on their jackets/coats. Did she apologize- of course not. Just walked away. Also to charge $12 extra for salad and bread when two people share a dish is a bit ridiculous!
Having a large group of 11 and knowing that Jimmy's could seat that many, we decided to make a reservation. Bad move. They pretend to take reservations here. they are LYING. The staff will tell you yes and then when you arrive at the restaurant- early even- they have given your table away.
