Great location. The atmosphere is excellent. We sat upstairs inside just before peak time for dinner. As the sun sets it can get very hot if you're at a window seat. The good news is that someone comes around to lower the screen which made it far more comfortable. The screen does not take away the wonderful view. This is a wonderful place and a very popular location.
I had a really nice dinner here and I would recommend it. Be warned: you will wait if you want to sit upstairs. This place features a great variety of experiences from raucous shack style dining outside to a more serene upstairs dining experience. The place was kid friendly although I don't specifically remember a kids menu. But the sunset and the view and a lobster roll with a beer. What a nice meal.
Cool place in a fantastic location. We opted for the indoor restaurant area, calmer and less noisy for a family with children, and were seated promptly at a lovely table with a sea view...and a tv view for the boys (big baseball match was on). Great service. Our food (fish and chips, chicken wrap, fish sandwich) wasn't great, I have to admit, but other diners were enjoying the sushi, and we enjoyed watching the sushi chefs at work. Just a few minutes away from the shopping area, the wonderful gingerbread cottages and the bus stops to the other towns on the island. A 4 out of 5 for all these reasons.
They have excellent New England seafood, beautiful views, and air conditioning that works! We had a large party including kids and they accommodated us within 5-10 minutes even though we had no reservations and they were quite busy. The whole lobster was cooked to perfection and was very fresh. There was plenty of chunky fish in their tacos. The salad was tossed lightly in a house vinaigrette. Members of our party said this was the best dining experience ever!
Went here for lunch with girlfriend and another couple on a sunday. I ordered the lobster mac n cheese. Waitor brought me the wrong order, so he took the wrong plate back to exchange. I told the rest of my party to start eating because it sounded like it was a simple mistake and that mine would be right out. While waiting for my food, i saw 2 other lobster mac n cheese plates brought out to other tables, while mine was still nowhere to be seen. 20 minutes later my meal finally arrived, while the rest of my party had already just about finished. Nothing was compensated on the bill and no appology was given from the manager. The waitor apologized originally for the mistake but that was it. I understand i'm just a one-off visitor of the island, but that's no way to treat a customer. Everyone in my party was very dispointed with the service and felt very awkward after they all had almost finished and i was sitting there with nothing infront of me.
