Pretty good 5 course tasting menu. Everything was fresh and prepared well, but nothing blew me away. But pricey for what it was.
Remarkably good food hidden in the middle of Oak Bluffs! Every single bite on the pre-fix menu was excusite, and the wine pairing was creative and consistently excellent. I loved the fresh homemade pasta. The calamari first course was bright and fresh! Actually, all of the food tasted like it had been picked from the garden that day or fished that day. The steak was good too--perfectly medium rare. The potato bread was perfect for soaking up all the delicious sauces. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. What a surprise to discover such incredible food on Martha's Vineyard. This is the kind of restaurant that would have a line around the block if it was located in any major city. Instead, it's right here at the end of an understated (some might say hidden) entrance.
Wonderful meal! Highly recommend this hidden spot in Oak Bluffs. The homemade pasta with seafood and saffron sauce was my favorite. The calamari appetizer with black garlic tasted remarkably fresh. The steak main course was perfectly cooked. And the wine pairing was excellent! I really liked the shared plates and the pre-fix menu. I think this may have been the best dinner I've ever had.
Chef Scott has made a believer out of me. Exquisite yet uncomplicated flavors. Fantastic service. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. If you have only one meal on the island, it should be at Down Island.
